Technology for retail brands
TOT builds websites, apps and custom software for retailers, concentrating on the parts that move sales: catalogues shoppers can navigate, store locators that turn a search into a visit, and stock figures that agree wherever a customer checks them.
What retailers are dealing with
-
Catalogues with many variants
A retail catalogue is rarely a handful of items. One product line branches into finishes, colours, sizes and matching accessories. When that product data is not structured before the interface is built, filters return confusing results and shoppers abandon the category page before they find the thing they came for.
-
From search to store visit
For higher-value goods, people research on a phone and then visit a store to see and handle the product. At that point the store locator decides whether the visit happens: it has to filter by area, list only dealers still trading, and hand over directions the shopper can follow straight away.
-
One answer across every channel
A purchase often begins on social media, moves to a marketplace for price comparison, continues in a chat window and closes at the counter. When prices, promotions and product descriptions differ from one place to the next, staff cross-check by hand and shoppers stop trusting the figure in front of them.
-
Stock counts and cancelled orders
The warehouse, the shop floor and the online listings each update on their own rhythm, so the counts drift apart and orders get taken for goods nobody can ship. The question is rarely how many systems a retailer owns; it is whether those systems exchange data quickly enough for the numbers to be worth trusting.
What TOT builds for retail
-
Web development
TOT builds retail websites with a category structure shoppers can navigate, attribute filters that narrow a large range quickly, product pages carrying full specifications and imagery, and a store locator that turns browsing into a store visit.
-
Mobile app development
TOT develops mobile apps for retailers covering product and availability lookup, membership cards, loyalty points, and promotion alerts sent to the right group of shoppers.
-
Custom software
TOT writes custom software for the work off-the-shelf tools handle awkwardly, such as dealer network management, channel-specific price lists, and stock synchronisation between shops and sales channels.
-
UI/UX & CRO
TOT reworks the path from category page to basket, enquiry or checkout, cutting steps that add nothing and fixing the points where shoppers stall.
-
AI software development
TOT applies AI to search and recommendations across a large catalogue, and to sorting incoming messages so repeated questions about specifications, warranty or availability get answered faster.
-
Maintenance & support
TOT maintains what it delivers: watching load times and security, resolving incidents, and preparing the platform for the traffic that arrives in peak retail seasons.

Frequently asked questions
Can TOT handle a large catalogue with many product variants?
Yes. Most of the work happens before any design: product groups, attributes, variants and filters have to be agreed first. With that foundation in place, adding a product line later is a data entry job rather than a rebuild of the site.
Can a new site connect to a retailer's existing sales system or ERP?
Usually, provided the existing system exposes an API or allows scheduled imports and exports. TOT reviews it first to decide which data has to sync both ways and which only needs to travel one way. Where the current system is closed, TOT states the limit up front rather than promising a workaround.
How long does a retail project take?
It depends on scope. A product showcase with a store locator is a different undertaking from a platform with customer accounts, stock synchronisation and payment integration. After the first conversation, TOT sets out a timeline tied to specific deliverables.
Who runs the system after launch?
The retailer's team handles day-to-day content and catalogue updates, with training and documentation provided at handover. Technical work such as hosting, security and fixes can stay with TOT under a maintenance agreement, with the scope agreed up front.
